Student Opportunities

Beyond the Classroom

Extra-curricular opportunities beyond the classroom are an important and exciting part of learning at Pedare.

Students at Pedare are offered many opportunities to experience and participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities that enhance their learning and personal development and develop their talents and passions.

A commitment to sport is encouraged, fostering individual growth, teamwork and physical wellbeing. The scope of sports on offer caters for a range of interests as well as skill levels, with interschool competitions and representative opportunities available.

Opportunities for Enrichment and Enhancement are also available in STEM, Creative and Performing Arts, Critical Thinking and Global Communities, with activities and opportunities offered both within and outside of the traditional school day. We offer a vast array of extra-curricular and co-curricular opportunities that complement our academic programs.

Music

Pedare Music Department offers an exciting array of choral groups, bands and ensembles where students from Junior to Senior School have the opportunity to be involved. These groups are involved in formal and informal concerts and performance opportunities throughout the year.

Robotics

Opportunities for enrichment and enhancement are also available in STEM through VEX Robotics extra-curricular groups offered to students from Year 3 to Year 12. More than just programming robots, this initiative aims to develop a diverse range of transferable skills, preparing students for technology-driven futures. Students can engage and expand their robotics experience in a fun, competitive environment at state, national and global competitions.

Clubs and Groups

Catering to every interest and passion, Pedare Clubs and Groups play an invaluable role in building a strong sense of belonging and community, allowing students to make friends and extend their learning beyond the classroom.

Clubs can be an extension of the curriculum like Art, Drama, German and OZ Asia Clubs, as well as hobby and skill-focused groups such as Chess, Debating and Th!nk Clubs. There are also groups centred around common passions, including Alpha, Worship, Yoga and Lions Leo or Cub Clubs, which focus on community service and leadership development.

Outdoor Education

Pedare Outdoor Education program builds numerous physical, social, personal and environmental skills and attributes. It encourages students to find courage outside their comfort zones while exploring the great outdoors of this beautiful country.

Starting in Year 3 and continuing through to Year 11, the diverse range of camps and activities provide enriching experiences that challenge students in a safe and supportive environment. Each year, the program builds on the skills learned and challenges faced in the previous year.
