Frequently Asked Questions about enrolment at Pedare

When can we enrol?
We encourage you to register an application as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Places are offered based on availability and the date of receipt of the application.
Siblings are given priority on the waiting list; however, a sibling is not guaranteed a place if there are no places available.
Formal offers for the main entry levels of Reception, Years 5, 6 and 7 are made two years prior to commencement. Subsequent offers are made as places become available.
Interviews for casual places at all year levels are offered as vacancies occur.
If we are not offered a place for our child, do we need to reapply for the following year?
In the event that we are unable to offer a place to your child in your preferred year level, your application will be rolled over each year until your child is offered a place or you ask to be taken off the waiting list.
It is important that you keep all your contact details (email, mailing address and mobile) up to date so that we can keep in contact with you.
Do you offer a mid-year Reception intake?
Pedare has two Reception intakes each year. The Term One intake is for children who will turn 5 before 30 April. The mid-year Reception intake is for children who will turn 5 on or before 31 October.
We have been made an offer but have not made a final decision as we are considering other options?
Does Pedare provide transport to the College?
Yes. Private bus services are available with departures from various locations, including Collinswood/North East, Mawson Lakes/Gulfview Heights, Newton/Tea Tree Gully and Salisbury/Greenwith. For detailed information on the bus routes and services, please visit the Bus Services page.
How much are the tuition fees?
We understand selecting a school can be one of the most important decisions you make as a family. We would like to assist you with your research and encourage you to contact the Community Relations Manager, Julie Holland. Julie can provide you with the information on what the College offers.

Do you have out-of-hours care?
Yes. Pedare offers Out-of-Hours Care (OHSC), including Vacation Care during term breaks. Before-school care is from 7.15am to 8.30am, and after-school care is from 3.10pm to 6.00pm. OSHC is available to all students from Reception to Year 6. For more information, visit the OSCH and Vacation page.
What scholarships are available at Pedare?

Does Pedare have a Canteen?
The College Canteen is operated by Rory’s School Lunches.
Rory’s School Lunches are a local based Catering and Canteen Management Company providing excellent and extensive “healthy choice” food offerings. To view the menu available to students at Pedare, visit the Wattle Cafe/Canteen page.
